Morgans New Friend

Maybe its because we have three dogs, but Morgan just loooves puppies. I bought a Laugh and LEarn puppy for her when I was pregnant, but I didnt think she would actually use it for awhile, especially not at just 8 weeks! She was playing in her crib this morning and I thought what the heck, so I put the puppy in with her and played some music. This is what happened!

The Not So Laborous Day

Today is Labor Day and I had the day off. Its HARD being at work after only one week :). Morgan and I have been having a lazy day, even though I have a ridiculous amount of housework to do. I am putting it off till after dinner. I love my parents! They bought us a new vacuum cleaner after our new one broke after only 6 months! With 3 dogs, one that sheds a lot, we go through our share of vacuums. I am so thankful for our new one! So its not so much as a labor day for us, than a lazy day. I keep trying to get her smiles on camera, unfortunately, the battery I ordered for my "new" (ebay) camera hasn't come in yet, so I am using my old camera, while works okay but has a frustratingly long delay. She is adorable, her entire face lights up. And her baby acne is finally gone - yay!



She plays a game with us now known as the tongue game (I guess we haven't been too creative lately) she will stick her tongue out and wait for you to stick out yours, then she will sticks hers out and on and on and on. If you don't play with her she gets mad and furiously sticks her tongue in and out ha-ha! It is so fun to be more interactive with her! She is my little monkey! We call her monkey because she has crazy feet, I keep meaning to take a close up and post it, her toes are so long! She also is in love with her bear right now known as bear. I guess he should be called the bear formally known as bear since David told me to think of a better name for him but I want her to name him when she can!

Work it Giiiiirrrl

I realize I am neglecting my blog, but its only because I went back to work! I was actually supposed to start last Monday, but they told me to wait a week because they pushed back the rink opening until September 13th! Everything is pretty much the same, but just as I left Polar a year ago they were bought by a company called spiral. Since I am the admin I have the most contact with them, and I heard they are a pretty interesting company, so I am a little nervous, but I since I worked with the rink for 5+ years I am sure I will be okay!

It is so hard going back to work, but since my work is 2 miles from home and we are not actually "open" yet. I only have to go in the office until 1pm or so because there are no computers and I dont have a laptop so I come home and work at night.

Fortunately, we were able to forgo day care and worked our schedules out where we work opposite shifts, and on Mondays and Fridays she stays with my mom sometimes. Which is a lifesaver! She gets to spend a lot of time with David, which is great! I am glad she doesn't have to go to day care, and will probably try to find a moms club or playgroup she can go to in a few months so she gets some interaction with other kids. Though she does love her playdates with Delainey! And she loves her Cousins Dominic Zac and Michael (all the same, though they might debate that lol)

Morgan is doing great! She is smiling a lot, but they are still totally random. But it just melts my heart everytime I see her little goofy smile. She also loves when I sing to her, especially the mamma mia soundtrack, gotta love abba lol. We are still experimenting a little with formula, we switched her to a soy based formula because she was getting the worst gas pains! She has taken to it pretty well though, and she is eating 4-6 ounces now! She had some trouble with a clogged tear duct, poor girl could hardly open her eye. Fortunately, David "milked" the tear duct and all the clog came out, it was pretty gross but she looks 100% better. Way to go daddy, mommy never could have done that! We have been using the eye drops the doctor gave us. According to my research this is normal and happens to 75% of babies, hopefully it goes away completely on its own!

I can't believe she is nearly 7 weeks old! Time flies when you are having fun and changing dirty diapers lol!

I got a new digital camera on ebay, but I had to order a new battery so my picture taking is down this week. Once the battery is delivered I will have a ton to update!

In dorky fangirl news, they moved the twilight movie up to 11/21 due to the harry potter moving to July 09 (so dumb btw). I am so excited to see this movie so I am very pleased they moved it up!

She is getting sooo big!

To me anyway, she is still so tiny to everyone else! We bought her a new playmat on Friday so we can use the smaller one for travel. She seems to like it, but she is still too small to utilize the hand and feet games at the same time, so I position her back and forth. She has also fallin in love with a bear/blanket my aunt terri got for her, its so cute! Morgan is also starting to smile. She has 2 real smiles on record, Saturday and Sunday. Unfortunately I havent gotten a picture of them because they are so random and I can't get her to do it again! I am hoping by the end of the week she will be smiling all the time! Its soooooo cute!
