Work it Giiiiirrrl

I realize I am neglecting my blog, but its only because I went back to work! I was actually supposed to start last Monday, but they told me to wait a week because they pushed back the rink opening until September 13th! Everything is pretty much the same, but just as I left Polar a year ago they were bought by a company called spiral. Since I am the admin I have the most contact with them, and I heard they are a pretty interesting company, so I am a little nervous, but I since I worked with the rink for 5+ years I am sure I will be okay!

It is so hard going back to work, but since my work is 2 miles from home and we are not actually "open" yet. I only have to go in the office until 1pm or so because there are no computers and I dont have a laptop so I come home and work at night.

Fortunately, we were able to forgo day care and worked our schedules out where we work opposite shifts, and on Mondays and Fridays she stays with my mom sometimes. Which is a lifesaver! She gets to spend a lot of time with David, which is great! I am glad she doesn't have to go to day care, and will probably try to find a moms club or playgroup she can go to in a few months so she gets some interaction with other kids. Though she does love her playdates with Delainey! And she loves her Cousins Dominic Zac and Michael (all the same, though they might debate that lol)

Morgan is doing great! She is smiling a lot, but they are still totally random. But it just melts my heart everytime I see her little goofy smile. She also loves when I sing to her, especially the mamma mia soundtrack, gotta love abba lol. We are still experimenting a little with formula, we switched her to a soy based formula because she was getting the worst gas pains! She has taken to it pretty well though, and she is eating 4-6 ounces now! She had some trouble with a clogged tear duct, poor girl could hardly open her eye. Fortunately, David "milked" the tear duct and all the clog came out, it was pretty gross but she looks 100% better. Way to go daddy, mommy never could have done that! We have been using the eye drops the doctor gave us. According to my research this is normal and happens to 75% of babies, hopefully it goes away completely on its own!

I can't believe she is nearly 7 weeks old! Time flies when you are having fun and changing dirty diapers lol!

I got a new digital camera on ebay, but I had to order a new battery so my picture taking is down this week. Once the battery is delivered I will have a ton to update!

In dorky fangirl news, they moved the twilight movie up to 11/21 due to the harry potter moving to July 09 (so dumb btw). I am so excited to see this movie so I am very pleased they moved it up!

To me anyway, she is still so tiny to everyone else! We bought her a new playmat on Friday so we can use the smaller one for travel. She seems to like it, but she is still too small to utilize the hand and feet games at the same time, so I position her back and forth. She has also fallin in love with a bear/blanket my aunt terri got for her, its so cute! Morgan is also starting to smile. She has 2 real smiles on record, Saturday and Sunday. Unfortunately I havent gotten a picture of them because they are so random and I can't get her to do it again! I am hoping by the end of the week she will be smiling all the time! Its soooooo cute!

I know its early but...

Here are a few halloween costumes I am thinking about for Morgans 1st Halloween. My chasing fireflies Halloween catalouge came yesterday and now I have halloween on the brain! Some of these are a little pricy so I will look other places, but I figured it is fun to start thinking about it!

Morgans 1 Month Check Up

Morgan gained a whole pound in 2 weeks! She is up to 7.5 pounds and grew a half an inch!

Yay, it is so relieving to know she is growing.

Morgan just got out of the bath and she loves when I brush her hair. She has a ton! And I have to frequently brush it so she doesn't look like a wild woman! Tonight we experimented with a few hair styles.

Non Picture Post

Even though I love updating with Morgans newest pictures, I thought I should actually write a post of sustenance about what is actually going on with us! We didn't get into the day care I wanted to use.I admit I have waited a little long, but since today is technically my due date, I thought I had more time and have been so occupied with our hospital stay and getting adjusted to being at home I kept putting it on the back burner. Now I go back to work in 8 Days and I have no day care. It doesnt help that I am 1.) Picky (and why shouldnt I be?) and 2.) Cheap, ok not cheap, but I think $1000+ a month for group child care is a little pricey in my humble opinion. There is one place I might be willing to pay that much because it is a private school, we are checking it out tomorrow and I hope they have openings and have a reasonable price.

Other than that I am gearing up for the opening of the new Polar Ice. I have been doing their website work and we finalize details, see my work here: Polar Ice Gilbert so that has been occupying a lot of my time when Morgan is asleep. I am excited to be back to work, because I admit Im a bit of a workaholic, but I cant imagine leaving her for the entire day! It will be agony! I think it would be harder if I were still at Tesseract, I couldnt imagine seeing all those kids without mine, then again tesseract has on site day care...sigh.

We joined lifetime fitness on Friday so we can loose our baby weight, david wants to loose his "ab" (sounds better than keg lol) and I want to lose about 40 pounds (this is lower than my prebaby weight) gets me to my highschool ish weight. I am also joining an indoor soccer league tomorrow that should be fun, I am nervous though, I haven't played soccer since I was on the AJHS boys A team. I don't even remember the rules so it should be interesting. I am also worried about girls who are hard core into the game, I just want some nice clean fun where I burn lots of calories.

Thats pretty much it! Morgan has a doctors appointment on Tuesday, we are keeping our fingers crossed for a huge weight gain since she is drinking 4oz a bottle now! I love my little munchkin!

We had a pretty lazy sunday morning today. On friday I started reading the twilight series and am almost done with the 2nd book (morgan gas been having some allnighters this weekend).
